Shoegasm of the week...

I've admired these YSL Tribute Double Platform Pumps for a few months now, but until I saw Ashley Olsen wearing them I wasn't obsessed. So, it's a done deal, I need them!

I should have some pants like Ashley's in the store in the next couple weeks, contact me if you are interested!

This is my last post I'm moving to Spain...

Because apparently my future husband is roaming the streets and I must find him.

I was going to do a post on 90's supermodels, so as I was looking for pictures on a Linda Evangelista fan site, I saw a link to other fan sites and a picture of a man caught my eye and I clicked.....

Ladies of America, it is my great honor to introduce you to Andres Velencoso Segura, soon to be known as, "the father of my children."

I'm confident that in the 28 years I have inhabited this earth I have never laid my eyes on such a gorgeous creature. I feel like beauty like this can't even be natural, he must have been hatched in a lab somewhere. On that note, I have to go to bed because I can't even handle his perfection.

I think I may have just died from some kind of desire overload. Is that possible?

What I wore Today...

I am going to do my very best to post my daily outfits (sometimes that would mean two outfits if there's an evening outfit change!) Posting the pics requires me to remember to take one everyday AND have someone around to take it, soooo I will definitely miss some days, especially on the days my selections are sub par due to lack of sleep or general crankiness. But, I've always enjoyed checking out people's style on other blogs and getting inspired by it.

There's a website called mystylediary.com, I used to be on it and I tried to update regularly, unfortunately that didn't last long. But, for those that want to do the same type of thing and see other people's style its a lot of fun!

So, for the first "What I wore today" post..my outfit for work (it's technically from yesterday, considering it's almost 3am now.):

Shoes, belt, tiger bracelet and peace necklace are all available at Collage Boutique! www.collage-boutique.com

Here's one from a couple weeks ago, I had planned to have the blog up a lot sooner than when I actually got around to it:

It all started with some strategically placed safety pins...

I remember the first time I ever saw Liz Hurley, when she was by Hugh Grant's side wearing this risque Versace dress.

I was 14 years old and Gianni Versace was my Style God. When he was killed I didn't eat or sleep normally for weeks. My fantasy was to intern for him. He is still, to this day, my all time favorite designer. I often wonder what amazing creations he would make today. Truly a huge loss for fashion. I'm sure at some point soon I will do a Versace tribute post, but this one is about Liz Hurley and her sexy style. I love the way she dresses (and I lust for her sexy husband.) Recently she wore this gorgeous Giambattista Valli dress (my current fav. designer)

I think she looked absolutely stunning! I just got a super cute dress in the style of this one, and I seriously think I may have blacked out from the excitement when I saw it in the store! I'll be wearing it to an event at the end if the month! I'll post pics then!

I'm not afraid to admit it, I LOVE him...

Sooooo, I kinda realized I have a bit of a crush on Senator (and soon to be Vice President) Joe Biden. Yeah, I said it! And I'm not ashamed.

So far, I've told my best friend, one of my guy friends and my parents..and all of them had pretty much the same reaction...a crazy look and some jabs at my sanity. But, I can't help it, I love charming, powerful men. To me ambition is the sexiest thing! So, it got me thinking what other weird crushes I have, so here's a list kiddies:

Of course, the aformentioned dreamboat Senator Joe Biden. I'm just attracted to the fact that he seems like a nice man, he's very intelligent, and has a achieved a lot. He was one of the youngest Senators in history. He's also known to have a bit of a temper, but I think he just believes strongly in certain things and let's it be known, and I think having strong principals is very admirable and attractive. He has also proven to be an amazing father. When his wife and daughter were killed in a car accident and his 2 sons were severly injured, he thought about not accepting his new position as Senator, after being talked into it by collegues and family he was sworn in at the bedside of one of his sons in the hospital. And as a new single father, he commuted an hour and half each way, every day to work. I also saw a spread in the new issue of Vogue (if I remember correctly) and it featured all the women in his family and they were ALL beautiful. So you know that man has some good beauty genes! ;)

Yes, President Bill Clinton. And I KNOW I'm not the only one who loves this man! He is sooooo charming and I really do think he's handsome! And although I LOVE Hillary and I would do just about anything for that Amazing woman, I think it's ok that he got his extra ciricular activity on with Monica (though I wish he had picked a better choice). I mean the man WAS the leader of the free world, I'm sure he was stressed, so, you can't blame him for needing to let off some steam (so to speak), and you know Hillary was too busy planning her bid for the presidency so she couldn't be bothered. Besides all that, it's like the man just keeps getting better with age.

I love this pic of Bill and Drew Barrymore. I'd be staring at Bill all googly-eyed too!

Next is Jeff Lewis, of the Bravo show Flipping Out. Ok, I realize he's gay (but my next one is too, so deal with it,) but he's so cute! Plumped up collagen lips and all! He has such good taste and oddly enough I think his O.C.D. and neuroses actually make him hotter. Don't ask. *sigh*

And last, but certainly NEVER least...My Georgie Michael. (Anyone who knows me already knows my undying love for this man.) Ever since I was 7 years old and took all my saved up money down to Tower Records in L.A. with my Grandma and bought the Faith tape, I have been holding a flame for him! I love him in every way. And I WILL have his baby, even if it means I have to go backstage with a turkey baster and make some magic happen. He can do no wrong it my eyes, crack smoking, bathroom sexin and all! I heart him Forever!

Thank God for Fierceness like this...

It just keeps me going and inspired. Between Beyonce season (We'll discuss that soon) and Lady GaGa I will be very inspired for a while.

Why are there so few cool, talented, creative, tranny-esque entertainers?

We need a real drag queen....we need another Rupaul! Until then Lady GaGa will suffice.

I really want to go see her and New Kids on the Block in Concert in San Diego...now that's what I call a "dream ticket"!

And now..you may absorb all her fab-u-licious-ness!

This last pic is the only inspiration I have gotten for a Halloween costume...maybe I could be Donatella Versace? Or I could follow in Lady GaGa's footsteps and be some kind fo Glam Rock Supastar!
Oui?
I want to do something as fun and unique as I did last year...I basically copied the hair, costume and make up from Beyonce's Kitty Kat Video:

And Moi...

Yeah, I think I have to keep pondering and see what amazing creation I can come up with that could possibly outshine last year! ;)

That reminds me!

That Dolly Parton/Henry Kissinger picture reminded me of one of my all time fav photos! It's actually been hanging on my fridge for years...
Sophia Loren and Jayne Mansfield...it totally brings the lols...

A classic illustration of "Class VS. Trash" You KNOW Sophia was calling her a bitch in Italian under her breath!

Who doesn't love Dolly Parton? I mean really!

That new Target commercial has her song "More where that came from", its so catchy and I just love her voice! I've always loved her since I was a kid, my grandma and I used to giggle at her so she always brings back memories of those happy times. ( Tina Turner reminds me of my grandma too, I think it's cause they both loved red lipstick and had hot gams!)
Anyway, I downloaded that song the other night and I just love it! Which made me feel the need to blog about what a fab bitch Dolly really is. I mean, she's like a cross between Barbie/Miss Piggy and a tranny. Three things that go perfectly together in book!
In fact her her current tour is called "Backwoods Barbie". Do you love it?
In my quick wiki research on her I did find out a disturbing factoid...she's Miley Cyrus' Godmother.
Sorry Dolly, You lose some cool points for that horrible decision. I assume she agreed only to be polite. I'll let it slide as long as she keeps the wigs, watermelon tatas, fake nails and stripper shoes comin' 'til her last day!
Don't you just love her!? She like the original "I should have been born a gay man or a tranny." (I'm one too by the way....my love of shoes and accessories proves it!)
And now let us bask in all her glory.....
"I'm not offended by dumb blonde jokes because I know that I'm not dumb. I also know I'm not blonde. " -Dolly Parton

"You'd be surprised how much it costs to look this cheap!" -Dolly Parton

"I wanted to be the first woman to burn her bra, but it would have taken the fire department four days to put it out." (Wow!Who knew Dolly was a feminist?) lol.

And my all time fav pic...Dolly and Henry Kissinger..Classic!

I guess Dolly knows she's a tranny trapped in a girl's body too: "It's a good thing I was born a girl, otherwise I'd be a drag queen. "

Things like this just motivate me to work HARDER..

I Love NY. I really do. The one and only thing I don't like is the winter. I am spoiled by desert winters and I just can't deal with the snow and freezing temperatures. Other than that, NY is heaven on earth. The people, the buildings, the food, the culture, the fact that you can get anything you want at any time of the night (for someone who is totally nocturnal that is Awesome) and of course the energy.

I have this internal clock that used to tell me when it was time to go to NY. Once I got that itch I had to scratch it. Of course, this was when I actually had the time to act on it. Work has kept me so busy for the past couple years I just haven't had time to make a trip and I'm really feeling the withdrawls.

Fortunately, every week I get my copy of New York Magazine, and for an hour or so I read about everything New York and stay up to date on all the constant changes in my favorite city. The best part of the magazine are the apartment listings. Amazing penthouses, townhouses and brownstones at ridicuolously inflated prices. :)

I just get to dream about the day I will own one...
Last week's issue was about home design with a focus on "Urban Pastoral". The Country in the City. The cover featured Chris and Lisa Goode's penthouse garden. It's the most perfct thing I could ever imagine. A little piece of West Coast comfort on the roof of a building in the middle of Manhattan. The best of both world's.

One day kids, One day....

Cover: (My fav. pic, sorry I couldn't find it any bigger)

More Pics of the rooftop lawn and interior of the apartment:

"The Goodes installed a greenhouse downstairs, which doubles as a natural light source. It’s where they harbor warm-climate plants like lemon trees (this year, they ate bananas from their own tree). The staircase goes to the lawn, kitchen, and living and dining rooms. "

They also have 5 chickens roaming around up there:

Lions and Tigers and SNAKES??? Oh my! (Part One)

I've always loved animal inspired jewelry and clothing. I live for leopard print anything...but I'm super picky on the print. You know how sometimes leopard print can be uber tacky and other times it screams Cavalli? Its a slippery slope....but I know my love of leopard print will never fade away.

I was, of course, OB-SESSED with the Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo (and sidebar: is Bravo, like the ONLY channel that has anything worth watching?) I am so sad the season was so short, what was that, like 5 episodes? So depressing. Anyway, Rachel's love of the excessive is a passion I share. I adored all her jewelry and huge glasses. But in EVERY episode what stood out the most to me was the aaaaaaaamazing Cartier Panther ring she always wore. I mean seriously, that ring is at least $14,000, I assume more since her's is probably vintage. I've scoured the net for a pic of her exact one, but I can only find less lust worthy versions...

Panthere de Cartier Ring:
Here's the knock off version I managed to track down for myself, I already got one but it was too big so I sold it in my boutique. It was litterally on the shelf for about 20 minutes before a fabulous chick bought it! When mine comes (hopefully it fits this time) I'm going to change the eyes to emerald green stones and give it a more expensive look:

(If anyone is interested in purchasing one of these rings contact me and I will see if I can get more! If the emerald eye switch looks good I may be able to do that for you too! I'll post pics of my ring as soon as I get it!)

I also just received this amazing bracelet today, and I should be getting more in the store soon, I will be hearing from my vendor tomorrow! I am no less than obsessed with it, I may even sleep with it on. Its so beautiful in person and the color contrasts between the gold, black enamel and green eyes are to die!

(Again if anyone is interested contact me, I'll have prices and dates of delivery soon!)

Just in time for Halloween and very Cleopatra-esque, I'm considering purchasing this snake necklace, but I'm not sure if it looks too cheap. Perhaps if paired with the right ensemble, like a black kimono sleeve one shoulder vintage maxi dress? It's Soooo, "Bianca Jagger at Studio 54 wearing Halston and sitting next to the man himself" no? (I think I just sold myself on the necklace with that mental image! Ha!)

I seriously already own enough animal inspired pieces (but since when does that stop me from getting more?) I have this amazing snake cuff (that I'm too lazy to take a pic of right now, but I'll post later) And also a vintage looking oversized Lion medallion necklace, which I will also post later...both are from my store but currently sold out. If I get a sense that there's demand for them I will do my best to get more in! I'll post those as a continuation to this posting along with my animal inspired clothing and shoe selections! Stay tuned for part deux!
